    Systemic risks in a changing world: Bridging science and society for evidence-based practice

    The 6th SRA-Iberian annual meeting will take place between 18 and 19 September 2025 at the University of Évora, in Portugal. The meeting will be organized by the Department of Psychology of the University of Évora. Under the theme “Systemic risks in a changing world: Bridging science and society for evidence-based practice” it will aim to bring together academics, professionals, and members of the civil society to share perspectives on risk assessment, risk management, risk communication, and risk prevention. This is a multidisciplinary conference, and we welcome participants from all fields of knowledge!

  • Call for abstracts

    We are pleased to announce that the Call for Abstracts for the 6th SRA-E Iberian
    Chapter Meeting is now open!

    Submitted abstracts should have a maximum of 400 words, and 3 to 5 keywords. All presentations will be in poster format. There will be a best poster award and a best student poster award. To be eligible for the best student poster award the first author must be a bachelor, master, or doctoral student, and he/she will have to present the poster at the conference (maximum 5 minutes). Students wishing to apply for the best poster award must confirm their eligibility in the abstract submission form. If your abstract is accepted, you will be invited to register for the conference. There will be no registration fee for the conference. Deadline for abstract submission is 15 July 2025.

    We are happy to announce that in this year’s edition there will be two awards:

    • Best poster award
    • Best student poster award.

    The first is automatically open to all non-student participants. Students wishing to apply to the best student poster award must be a bachelor, master, or doctoral student, and will have to present the poster at the conference (maximum 5 minutes). Students wishing to apply for the best poster award must confirm their eligibility in the abstract submission form.

    Day 1

    (Afternoon schedule)

    • 13:30 – 19:00. Field trip – visit Alqueva Dam
    • We will depart from the entrance of the University of Évora (Colégio do Espírito Santo) and make a technical visit to the Alqueva Dam accompanied by a member of EDIA, the company that manages the dam and its risk chart. In our way back we plan to visit the village of Monsaraz.

  • Poster instructions

    Posters should have maximum dimensions DIN-A0 (84’1 x 118’9 cm/ 33,1 x 46,8 inches). Presenters must ensure an adequate resolution of figures and text. All presenters must bring the printed final version of their poster to the venue.
